BETSY PATRICK January 8, 1919 - December 17, 2013 Peacefully surrounded by family, our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Betsy Patrick, 94 years of age, took her final journey to join her loved ones who had passed before her. Betsy was born January 8, 1919 in Norway House, Manitoba to John and Margaret Robertson. She was the eldest of five loving siblings. She started working at the RC Mission Hospital at the age of 18 where she met her husband Gerard. She worked there for nearly 40 years. She was also employed by Frontier School Division. Betsy loved life and believed in living it to the fullest. She had strong family values and possessed a quiet dignity that radiated in her kindness and inner strength that helped her overcome many adversities in life. She is survived by her two children, Alma Sinclair (Lloyd) and Alex Patrick (Jennifer). Twelve grandchildren, Myra, Alistair (Jackie), Grace (Leonard), Susie (Jerry), Pat (William), Alma Jr. (Marc), Dorothy (Art), Gerald (Lee Ann), Vanessa, Ila May, Misty (Tim) and Donny. Thirty-five great-grandchildren and sixteen great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Gerard Patrick, grandsons Bryden Sinclair and Dennis Sinclair, parents John and Margaret Robertson (nee Berens), mother-in-law Mary Sawanash, sisters Agnes Still, Pat Still, Ila Graham and brother Hughie Robertson. A funeral service will be held Friday, December 20, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at The Berens River Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Anthony officiating. Interment to follow at Berens River Cemetery. Active pallbearers are her great-grandsons Dylan Sinclair, Aaron Whiteway, Keenan Lea, Gerd Nabess, Darion Sinclair, Nadrie Sinclair, Josh Whiteway and Justin Patrick. Honarary pallbearers are all her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Tache Centre for their loving care of our dearest mother and grandmother. For all of us you gave your best Now time has come for your to rest So go in peace you've earned your sleep Your love in our hearts, we'll eternally keep
