ARLENE VIVIAN KAROL
Date of Passing: Dec 20, 2013
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryARLENE VIVIAN KAROL With loved ones at her side, Arlene Vivian Karol passed to the spirit world in the wee hours on December 20, 2013. To mourn her passing, Arlene leaves her partner of 25 years, Lyle Ironstand; her children, Storm, Reyna (David), Dayce (Francine) and Mandy; her parents, Percy and Merdina Cameron; her siblings, Lori, Sharon, Darryl, Sheila (Brian) and adopted sisters, Sharon and Pam; her sister-in-law Kathy; her cherished grandchildren, Rhythm, Katrina, Danius, Dominic, Julien, Nicky, Colin and Seth, her numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, godson Trenten and lifelong friends. Arlene was predeceased by her father John Karol; her brothers, Gerald and Darcy; her paternal grandparents, John and Rosalie Karol; her maternal grandparents, Arthur and Susan Arthurson; nephew Cole, as well as numerous relatives. Arlene was a kind-hearted and generous woman who treated everyone with respect and dignity. Her love of children and youth inspired her to become a youth care worker. She was passionate in her work but was forced to retire due to health issues. Her generosity had no limits, she would give or share what she had to those in need. Those who were sad, hungry or lonely could go to Arlene for comfort and prayer. Arlene loved babies, travelling up north, Van Morrison, Joyce Meyers, playing keno, being with family. She crushed on Gregg Allman (still), she loved the Sundance and Jesus too. She adored her grandchildren, they were the joy of her life, she was their champion. Arlene fought her battle with cancer with a grandmother's heart, she did not want to leave them. Arlene hated hypocrites, bigots, racists and judgemental people, she spoke up for the poor, the meek and the homeless. She was their champion. Arlene was laid to rest at the Old Stone Church Cemetery in East Selkirk on Monday, December 23, 2013. Hold on to what is good, Even if it's a handful of earth. Hold on to what you believe, Even if it's a tree that stands by itself. Hold on to what you must do, Even if it's a long way from here. Hold on to your life, Even if it's easier to let go. Hold on to my hand, Even if someday I'll be gone away from you.
