Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLEIGH ARLENE JANZEN (nee STANNARD) February 28, 1941 - December 15, 2013 Died peacefully at Victoria Hospice with her loving husband Harry by her side. She is survived by her husband Harry; her son Jeffrey (Shauna), grandchildren Autumn and Cale; daughter Tammy (Dennis), grandchildren Kevin, Karl, Ryan, Erik, and Karynn; daughter Sharon (Jeff), grandchildren Alexander and Liam. She is also survived by her brothers Norman (Edmonton) and Glen, and sister Janice of Winnipeg. Leigh was a woman who lived her life full of love. Her generosity and passion for helping others was the essence of her very being. She was a dedicated wife for 51 years, a loving mom and granny who filled her grandchildren's hearts with laughter. A deeply compassionate nurse and a fiercely loyal and giving friend. Her huge heart and warm nature touched the lives of so many. Although residing in Victoria BC since 1975, she never lost her love for "good old Winnipeg!" and always considered it her home. The family would like to extend their thanks to the Victoria Hospice team who provided tremendous compassion and comfort to our entire family. In lieu of flowers, donations would be gratefully accepted to the Victoria Hospice Society. A joyous celebration of Leigh's beautiful life will be announced at a later date. She was a friend to many strangers and a mother to all.
