AUDREY JEAN ROBINSON It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our wife, mom, gramma and great-gramma, Audrey Robinson on December 18, 2013. She will be sadly missed by her husband Bert, sister Marie, daughters Cheryl and Debbie, sons Robert, Bert (Whitney), Daryl (Erna), and Michael, her grandchildren, Michelle (Jeff), Kristi (Damion), Kali, Kyle (Jessica), Brendan and Parker, and her greatgrandchildren, Layla, Finnley and Declan, many nieces and nephews and lastly her two precious cats. Audrey was born July 3, 1930 in St Frances Xavier and lived her early childhood years there. Once she moved to Winnipeg she spent her lifelong journey there working and then raising a family. Mom will always be remembered for her love of cooking, shopping, reading, crossword puzzles, playing games with family and being "on the bus", entertaining and enjoying life with her family around her. She took great pleasure in seeing her grandchildren and especially her great-grandchildren the "little ones". Mom loved to go shopping and out for lunch. She also loved sitting on her deck in the summertime with her family enjoying the warmth of the sun, conversation and food. All holidays were special but Christmas was her favorite time of year and she spent many hours decorating her house and tree, and shopping for gifts in anticipation of all her family coming over. Always in our hearts we will miss her dearly. A Memorial service will be held on Friday, January 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Winnipeg MB In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Lung Association.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • I have known the family for 51 years, and was deeply saddened to hear of Audrey's passing. It feels funny for me to type or say her first name, for in my heart and mind, she was always "Mrs. Hamerla". My deepest sympathies to all of you. Another star shall shine bright in heaven. My love to you all. - Posted by: Rhonda (Hunter) Bishop (lifelong friend of the family) on: Jan 05, 2014

  • All mom's life, babies and animals brought a smile to her face and did right up to the very end. I would take her to the hospital cafeteria to see a small baby or in the care home when care dogs would come to visit. It always brought her joy. My dad and I would take her outside every day at the hospital to feed peanuts to "the resident squirrel". Her most precious "babies" were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her most precious animals were her cats. She will be sadly missed by all of them. - Posted by: Debbie Guillas (daughter) on: Jan 02, 2014

  • I will always remember being together with the family at Christmas when we were young, running around and playing in much happier times. - Posted by: Richard Pylychuk (Nephew) on: Dec 31, 2013
