June was predeceased by her parents Andrew and Sophie Sowinski, and her husband Duncan. Left to cherish June's memory are her sons, David (Donna and family), Robert (Joan); grandchildren: Rachelle, Veronica, Ryan, and great-grandchild Abigail. June will also be missed and remembered by her many friends and extended family. June Rose Fordyce was born at the St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, the only child of Andrew and Sophie Sowinski. My contacts with this lovely lady were when I would visit son Dave at their home on Government Ave. Dave and I were both single fathers living with our parents. June was an intelligent, witty mother. We spoke on many occasions when I would visit with Dave and Rachelle. Even though I wasn't close to her, I respected and enjoyed our brief encounters. I send my deepest sympathy and condolences to Dave and Rachelle. I'm sorry we lost touch. - Posted by: Ken Stear (friend of son David) on: Jan 06, 2014
