Prayers and thoughts are with you Larry and your family. I remember when you and Delores came to our house to pick apples and then Delores would make an apple pie and drop it off at our house. Many good memories. - Posted by: Elaine Molson (Friend) on: Dec 30, 2013

Dear Larry, Brian, Bonnie, Sandra and families Words cannot express our shock and disbelief in the loss of your wife and mother/grandmother Dolores. Our deepest sympathy to all of you with her untimely passing. We will always cherish our last visit this past October in Winnipeg having breakfast with Larry and Dolores. We would have never thought that it would have been our last time to see her. We will hold dearly all of the wonderful memories over the years that we shared with both of you. Since we are down south, we are not able to attend the funeral but we want you to know our thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad time. Our hearts go out to you and may you find some comfort in knowing that Dolores is now at peace but her memory will live on. May the Lord give you strength during this difficult time. I first met Delores at Day Nursery Center. Delores and I were co-workers for over 10 years. Delores had such a great sense of humour, was always willing to help someone and a great friend. She was one of the nicest people that I have ever worked with. Needless to say I was shocked when I heard the news of her passing. My condolences go out to her husband Larry, daughters Bonnie, Sandra and son Brian. You have truly lost a wonderful person in your wife and mother. Someone up above must have thought that she was needed more there and that her work here was done, although I am sure that you will not agree with this but I feel we are all taken for a reason. I have many good memories of Delores and I'm sure you all have many more than I do. Cherish all these memories as I know you will all be in her heart and she will be the angel watching over all of you from up above. My thoughts go out to all of you and Delores You will be so greatly missed. This life as we know it has truly lost a wonderful person. - Posted by: Rosemary Parmley (Friend) on: Dec 29, 2013

We first met Dolores at a Winnipeg beauty salon called the Magic Mirror. The real magic was in the smile and nature of Larry's beloved wife. Just as Larry and Dolores were blessed with wonderful children, our God daughter Bonnie, son Brian and daughter Sandra, they were blessed with a loving mother and caring father to guide them. Dolores and Larry succeeded. With fond memories of Saskatoon syrup and pancakes with ice cream, dominoes, wedding festivities, laughter and good times, we will miss Dolores who rests in the wonderful home of God. Love and thoughts are with you Larry, Bonnie, Brian, and Sandra. - Posted by: Gary and Susan Hart (Friends) on: Dec 29, 2013

If I was to say something about her it would be... Life is a mystery. Death is a mystery. Why now , Why her, It's not fair, it doesn't seem right. We ask ourselves why do the good ones go first? We ask the doctors ... why with all the medicine we have... How can this be that there is a small percentage of people that it reacts poorly to. There is no perfect answer, but it proves she was rare. Uncle Larry, Brian, Bonnie, and Sandra I feel for you so. I truly feel blessed to have had her touch my life. Like a sense that I knew one of most amazing people in the world. All of her children are successful in their professions, boils down to a huge achievement these days. She is rare. She was a model of many kinds, a good ol country girl from the farm, that could do just about anything, the fashion designer of her youth, her and her sister Barb gave Audrey Heburn a run for her money. Always a bride and the queen in her castle, the model mother with deep love that was constant and pure. She was rare. Aunty Dolores was always in the service of caring for people, An honorary veteran caregiver, not only for her family for generations, for the church her whole life, she was truly highly ranked in the service of caring for people. Either making people feel beautiful, endless days of professional hairdressing, she gave decades of service to children and seniors, ones that needed care most. She most certainly had a knack for preparing amazing meals all the while making jokes and laughter to fill the stomachs and hearts of everyone that came to her palace. She was rare. Aunty Dolores was a spiritual Woman. On Christmas Eve while I was preparing for our family dinner ...I could not stop thinking about her all day, first of all I hadn't left my kitchen for past 20 waking hours and I just kept thinking about her and the family at the hospital, Uncle Larry and Brian Bonnie and Sandra, each with their spouses and children, all who were pretty much living at the hospital and never left her side.... looking back I think she came here for a bit. I couldn't stop thinking about her, nor did I want to... I just kept making more kinds of desserts ...like she was guiding me. . And something certainly came over my brother because he couldn't stop talking about getting some food to everyone at the hospital...what kind of Christmas will that be for them, he kept bugging me hows that soup coming along? That sounded more like Aunty Dolores....as I thought, she was here guiding us along, making sure her family fed well. .. Life is a mystery...unless you believe, God needed her more than you or me. She was spiritual, she was rare, she will always be here to guide us, she is in our hearts forever, for Uncle Larry a wonderful wife, Brian Bonnie and Sandra such a dear mother and the rest of us a special woman that will be greatly missed. We love you, keep guiding us, we wish you were here. - Posted by: Natalie (niece) on: Dec 28, 2013
