Condolences & Memories (7 entries)

  • Our sympathies to Barb, Fraser and family. It was so nice to keep in touch with your mom over the years. We have many fond memories of your family that we treasure in our hearts. With Jim, school events and parties, the lake and family friendships. Both of your parents frequently welcomed many of us into their home and cottage. Your mom was a very strong, courageous woman with a positive attitude. Her family was very important and always highlighted what was going on. She was very proud of her kids, son-in-law and grandchildren. Pauline was thankful of her sisters and extended family that helped her after her move out east. I will miss her phone calls and we are so happy that we had a chance to see both, Barb and Pauline at Brereton Lake a few years ago. Take care and we are thinking of all of you. • I remember Pauline so well from SCUC. She was the first person to invite my Mum (Margaret Morgan) to join UCW. Pauline was always friendly and kind and welcoming. • We spent many years with the Atheys through Jim, their son. Lots of good memories at their cottage in Brereton Lake where both Mrs and Mr Athey hosted large groups of people. Mrs Athey was never at a loss for words and we always felt welcome with her bubbly, friendly, warm personality. My thoughts are with Barb, Fraser and family - Posted by: Glenda Markiewicz (nee Pierce) (Friend) on: Dec 30, 2013
