Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOYCE SALLIMA MOHAMED July 25, 1931 - Port of Spain, Trinidad December 29, 2013 - Calgary, Alberta Joyce Mohamed, formerly of Sault Ste. Marie, ON passed away peacefully at the age of 82 years on Sunday, December 29, 2013, at the Agape Hospice in Calgary, AB, with her children at her side. Joyce was a loving mother, grandmother, wife, sister, and friend. She bravely fought a heroic four month battle against pancreatic cancer. She embraced the challenges of her impending death with grace, humility and courage that were the hallmark and legacy of her journey in this world. She will be missed by everyone whose life she touched. Her memory and spirit will continue to reside with us all. Joyce is survived by daughter and son-in-law Deborah and Eric Pearce and their sons, Michael and Spencer Pearce; son and daughter-in-law, Darryl Mohamed and Mary Ann Hug and his son Adam; son Curtis Mohamed and his daughter Emily Grace; daughter and son-in-law Jennifer Mohamed and Fridtjof (Fred) Weigel and their daughters, Ruth and Isabelle Weigel-Mohamed. She is and will always be loved by her siblings and in-laws, Ayoub (John) Ali, Fareeda and Noble Lalibeharie, Maida Holder, Sandra Garrett, and Bebe Mike, Kenneth Mohamed, Nehru Mohamed, Clinton Gajadhar, Rupert Dolsingh, Vilma Ali, Boris Beharrysingh, George Carroll, and Tom Revoy. Joyce was predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years, Dr. Gerald Edson Mohamed; siblings, Merle Gajadhar, Monica Dolsingh, Shiraz Ali, Gloria Beharrysingh, Hashmeen Caroll and Mela Revoy; and in-laws, Randall Mohamed, Ajimal Mohamed and Florence Pemberton. Joyce will always be truly loved by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends as she loved them all deeply. A Memorial Service to Celebrate Joyce's Life will be held in August of 2014 in Winnipeg, her first home in Canada.
