EMILY KASPRICK Emily Kasprick age 76, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2013 with family at her side after a lengthy illness at St. Boniface Hospital. Emily was predeceased by her parents Walter and Sophie Shymanek and her twin babies Gerald and Geraldine. Left to cherish her memory is the love of her life Gordon Kasprick, husband of 58 years; children Mitchell (Phyllis and family); Michelle (Alan) grandchildren Chris, Ryan, Melissa, Cheryl; Emily's dearest friend Edna; sister lrene (Walter) and all her nieces, nephews and friends. Emily worked as a hairdresser in her younger years and later as a supervisor for the Dept. of Veteran's Affairs until her retirement. Emily was an avid hockey fan and animal lover (Teddy, Pepper). She especially enjoyed watching the wildlife, stars and beautiful sunsets at their lakefront cottage at Twin Beaches. Cremation has taken place at Cropo Funeral Chapel and interment will follow at a later date at Chapel Lawn. The family wishes to thank all who were involved in Emily's care. Emily was a lot of fun when we worked together in the 80's at Veterans Affairs Canada. She was always good for some sound advice and her love for the cabin was something she talked of often. And of course her children and grandchildren. I am sorry to the family - I didn't know until today when something told me to go check this out on the net and here it is some 6 months later. Rest in peace EM. One of my fondest memories that will always make me laugh was the time she filed her paycheck.
