Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHOMAS (BOYSHA) ARCHUK 1918 - 2013 It is with great sadness that the family of Tom Archuk announces his passing on the morning of December 29, 2013 at the Swan Valley Hospital. Boysha was born on July 5th, 1918 in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Andrew and Julia Archuk. He was one of eight siblings. Boysha attended Norquay School in Point Douglas where he grew up to be an exceptional hockey player and athlete. Boysha met and married Mary Archuk (nee Budnick) on June 28th of 1941. Together they raised one son, Tommy Richard Archuk. They briefly lived in Point Douglas and then moved to West Kildonan for the next 60 years. Boysha worked for 45 years as a Butcher with Canada Packers. After retiring, they took numerous winter holidays to multiple hotspots such as Hawaii and Mexico. They enjoyed trips up to Swan River where their son and most of their grandchildren reside, in addition to trips to Alberta to visit family. They also enjoyed several trips to Sandy Hook, Manitoba where Boysha's sister Archie and husband Stan had their cabin. Dad thoroughly enjoyed racing pigeons in the 1940s with his brother-in-law Stanley, at the Belgium Club St. Boniface. He was an avid fisherman and loved being outdoors. He tended his garden with Mary and enjoyed his swing in the backyard. He was a loving and kind father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who was loved in return. Ever grateful to Doctors K. Jolly, and S.K. Bhattacharya for the 20 more years you gave Pa. Boysha was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Julia Archuk; his wife Mary Archuk; three sisters Victoria Maryk, Anne Wysocki, and Irene Kenny and three half- brothers Charlie, Maxie, and George Perkins. He is survived by his son Tommy; five grandchildren Heather, Stacey, Tara, Andrew and Ashley; five great-grandchildren Jordan, Tyson, Lucas, Colton and baby Jaxon; one sister Mary Pauk and numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and a private interment will follow in the summer of 2014. Remember him with a smile today He was not one for tears Reflect instead on memories Of many happy years.
