Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryILE KORDIC May 29, 1943 January 3, 2014 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Ile Kordic on Friday, January 3, 2014. He will be deeply missed by his wife Dragica, daughter Marianne, son-in-law Stephen and grandson Brandtson along with family and friends from Canada and Europe. Ile was predeceased by his only son Marko. Ile was born in Croatia and moved to Winnipeg in 1968. He was a precise, talented and hardworking cabinet maker for 40 years, and he lavishly used his talent to make furniture, toys and many other things for his family. He most enjoyed spending time with his family, always placing others first, being generous with others; he was loyal, trustworthy and kind. He will always be remembered as an amazing husband, dad and grandfather (Djedo). Funeral service 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Zion Apostolic church, 305 Machray Avenue, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment at Glen Eden Cemetery. My deepest and most sincere condolences for your loss. Having to endure another loss so soon after Marko, no words can console. Please know that my heart aches alongside of yours. I have had the pleasure of knowing your family for the last 30 years, I only wish I could have spent more time with you along the way. I was so glad that I got to spend time with you all this past summer and see Ile for the last time. Watching him light up and smile when his grandson came in the room was priceless, he loved his family like no other! He was a man I was so proud to be known as a friend of his. His calm gentle spirit and heart of gold will never be forgotten. We are so very heartbroken to hear of Ile's passing. We will always remember him as a strong, gentle man with a heart of gold. My heart is sad for your loss...at the same time is rejoicing for Ile. I don't believe that I have known a kinder man. His handshake was so strong, yet such a gentle man. I was saddened to hear of Ile's loss last week...My thoughts and prayers go out to Diane and My dear Marianne, her son Brandtson, and hubby Steve. I cannot find the words to express how sorry I am to hear this news...my heart aches for the family. Ile was such a gentle soul and a true family man. This family has already been through such heartache....may you find comfort in knowing that Marko and Dad are together and that all the memories you hold will stay close to your hearts.
