Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALICE MICHAUD 1945-2014 After a very short illness at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, January 2, Alice Michaud, beloved wife and life friend to Charles Boudreau, mother of Pierre (Laurie), Philippe (Anna) and Isabelle and grandmother of Nicole, Danielle, Katrina and Erik passed away. Alice will also be missed by her siblings Louis, Therese, Blanche, Jeanne, Ghislaine, Marguerite, Claude and Michel as well as her in-laws Rachelle, Roy and Therese and their respective families. She grew up in the small village of Matapedia, P.Q. in a large French Canadian family. Alice was a very active woman of many talents. She worked as an RN on and off for 30 years depending on where her husband moved her. She got a certificate in translation from McGill University in Montreal and was still translating from home in December. She enjoyed playing with words and even ended up as a freelance interpreter. Gimli became her home and she enjoyed living here. She made many friends who will miss her laughter and sharp tongue. This woman loved life in all it's facets and those who got to know her will always have a warm feeling for the person that she was. A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2014, in the St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Gimli, MB, at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Art Seaman officiating.
