Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRAYMOND J. MARCHAND 1927 - 2014 Ray Marchand, late of Ste. Anne, MB and formerly of Estevan, SK, passed away at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, MB on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at the age of 86 years. Ray is survived by his wife Irene (Manaigre, née Dusablon); six children; stepsons, Mike (Gayleen) Manaigre and Dan (Tammy) Manaigre and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife Lenora (née Stepp). Ray and Irene owned and managed the Lilac Resort in Ste. Anne for many years. In keeping with Ray's wishes, there will be no memorial service and interment will take place in Estevan at a later date. The family would like to thank the care givers of 5E at St. Boniface Hospital. Those wishing to make donations in Ray's memory may do so directly to the New Estevan Regional Nursing Home, 1201 - 2nd Street, Estevan, SK S4A 0M1. Ray's final arrangements are entrusted to LeClaire Brothers Funeral Home, Winnipeg, and Hall Funeral Services, Estevan. "Uncle" Ray was always so full of life. Always wanting to play a hand or two of crib because he knew that he would pummel you and that just made his day. I did manage to beat him once when he said that he'd "take it easy on the girl". Well he spoke of that day every time I saw him or spoke to him over the phone.
