AMANDA KELSALL It is with deep sadness that the John W Kelsall family of Horseshoe Valley, Ontario, announces that Amanda Lee Kelsall, born February 16, 1991, tragically passed away on January 5, 2014. Amanda was the daughter of John and Sharon Kelsall and the older sister of Debra and Jenna. She was the granddaughter of John and Lottie Kelsall and Blanche Rundle (predeceased by Hugh Rundle). As well, she was a cousin, niece, friend and very special friend to Jonathan Taylor. Amanda was an outstanding track athlete and student, both in high school and university. She won numerous awards, honours and scholarships, achieving 100% in many courses. After graduating with honours from Eastview Secondary School in Barrie, Ontario, she enrolled at Queen's University in Kingston and completed a BSc in chemistry. After this, she was accepted into medical school at the University of Ottawa and was in her second year, working towards her dream of becoming a doctor. But best of all, Amanda loved the Lord Jesus Christ with her whole heart and accepted Him as her personal Saviour as a little girl. Amanda lived for Him with everything she was and devoted her life to mentorship and service in the church, community and mission work in Ghana, Africa. Amanda lived to dance and worship her Lord. She is now in Jesus' arms. The visitation will be held at Willow Creek Baptist Church in Midhurst, Ontario on Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A final visitation will be held on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Barrie, Ontario, followed by a brief luncheon at 12:00 noon. The Memorial service will also occur at Emmanuel Baptist Church on Friday at 1:30 p.m. Donations can be made to the Amanda Kelsall Fund at the University of Ottawa to financially support undergraduate medical students. • Such shocking news! Although we never met young Amanda, we feel so connected to the Kelsall family from the "early" days (1950 - 60s) back in Bethesda Church in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where Doug knew John and Lottie, Amanda's grandparents. We offer our sincere condolences and share in your family's hope for the reunion to come. The Langs, West Vancouver, B.C. - Posted by: Doug & Georgialee Lang (Friends) on: Jan 23, 2014
