We knew Judy well and have many fond memories of her and her family when they lived in Ottawa. Periodic visits to Ottawa after her confinement to a wheelchair demonstrated her courage and indomitable spirit, as well as her confidence in a loving Heavenly Father Who does all things well. So many, including our own children, have been blessed and encouraged by her life, her love and her example. She will be missed. - Posted by: John and Brenda Gowling (Friends) on: Jan 16, 2014

Judy was a humble but exceptionally strong individual. She sincerely devoted sharing her learning experiences to those who had come to know her. She was loved by many. Her determination and ability to overcome challenges for living were beyond our apprehension because they came right from her heart. She never gave up on many of her tough battles to be a winner and lived her life to the fullest. She will be missed and remembered by her family, her friends and her world. Rest in Peace, Judy. - Posted by: Ching (a friend) on: Jan 12, 2014

I met Judy after seeing an ad for a van she was selling. I purchased the van as like her I am also in a wheelchair. From the moment I met Judy I could see what a caring and kindhearted person she was. She always greeted you with a huge smile. I know she will be missed by all. - Posted by: Kathy Whitehill (Friend) on: Jan 11, 2014

I first met Judith at Missionfest in 2006. She shared her story with me and we both said this wasn't just a chance meeting. Later after I married we met again, this time my wife and I shared our stories with her and SHE began to pray! Specifically for children! We met again and this time we placed our daughter into her arms and we all cried tears of joy! It was a beautiful and sacred moment! Judith prayed! She had this beautiful aroma of Christ which always caused us to be in awe of our Creator God whom Judith loved more than anything. She lived life to the full and inspired us by her tenacity and tenderness. We will miss you here and can't even believe you're gone...but we know the place where you now live is incredible! Far more beautiful than you probably even imagined! We are thankful to have known you! Dance on sweet friend, dance on! I met Judy at Winnipeg Bible College. She willingly cared for many of us there as nurse! She had an infectious laugh and beautiful smile. My condolences to her family and friends - Posted by: Elisabeth (Loewen) Schloo (friend) on: Jan 10, 2014

Judy, by the Lord's mercy you are now dancing with your Saviour on streets lined with gold. I know you heard the words, "Well done!" when you reached heaven and we are so grateful you learned to live a life of contentment, peace and purpose through all your difficulties and challenges. You gave, and you gave, and you gave with all that was within you and the blessings the Lord was able to share through you to others are innumerable. For how can one weigh the worth of a smile or hug or your cheeky comments or your encouragement and practical help that made up the very fibre of your being? The gift heaven has gained, the earth has lost with your passing. I'm so thankful you entered my life in Bible school many years ago, for in your journey I have been inspired and encouraged and am richer for having met you. You were gracious, persevering in all suffering, always thankful, and you saw the Lord's blessing in your life. Thank you, Judy. Well Done! - Posted by: Colleen Korzan (Friend, former dorm-mate at Bible School) on: Jan 10, 2014

Well Judy, you finished so incredibly well! Heaven has gained a wonderful saint. I am going to miss seeing your huge smiles and hear your heartfelt laughter. You lit up a room with your infectious positive spirit. I have so many sweet memories of you going all the way back to Windsor Park church days and well beyond. I still have the beautiful scarf you made and it is my favorite - what a talent you had, actually many talents. I still can't believe you're gone and I'm going to miss you incredibly, but I'm so happy for you that you are free of your pain and you are with the One who loves you so much, Jesus. - Posted by: Linda G. I met and got to know Judy at Winnipeg Bible College before the accident that changed her life. She was flamboyant and full of life then as she was now. It has been a pleasure to have known her all these years even though our paths only crossed a few times over the past 35 years. She shared her story with me and I was inspired by her courage and strength when faced with the road ahead. God has brought her home! - Posted by: Esther Dyck (Friend) on: Jan 10, 2014

My dear "sister" - WELL DONE! You finishished the race in AMAZING BEAUTY! I am unable to articulate all that you have imprinted into my life and the lives of my children! My whole family will miss the Spring and fall labouring in love together with you as we helped in planting and harvesting your flower gardens. A big thank you went out to your brother Kevin for the underground watering system. The anticipation and the completion of the water system was a huge gift beyond words. And the neat thing is...your flower garden will now live on...it's all set up! We will drive there and get out of our car and experience Judy again and again in the beauty of her gardens! Thank you God! What a gift till we meet again in heaven! We love you beyond words...our adopted "Auntie" And on a side note...no one else has ever received that title unless they were blood related except You. You were the exception! - Posted by: Brenda Tuckett (Adopted Auntie" to our family " but a true sister in Christ) on: Jan 10, 2014

When I first met Judith, I knew she was a remarkable woman of faith, courage and strength. That has been confirmed over and over again, as I got to know more about how she chose to live her life. We'll meet again with NEW bodies. Now you see what you believed. - Posted by: Selma Pauls (friend) on: Jan 10, 2014

I did not know Judy well. I met her on one of her trips to Ottawa. I was impressed with her enthusiasm for life and big-hearted nature. It is fantastic that she is now able to be free of her wheelchair, dancing with Jesus, but at the same time my heart mourns with those of you who knew her well. May you cherish always the good memories, allowing them to inspire you to love God more!!! - Posted by: Lorena Severson (friend) on: Jan 10, 2014
