JUNE KATHERINE WHITE (TOEWS / MORDEN) June 1, 1931 - January 2, 2014 After a lengthy decline, June passed away on January 2, 2014, June passed away at Sherbrook Nursing Home in Saskatoon, SK, due to Alzheimer's disease. She is survived by her husband Robert, and her siblings Arthur, Wilma, John, Dick and Bill. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Katherine Toews. June spent her childhood in the small community of Kane, MB where she displayed an early propensity for music and the arts while excelling in her school subjects. She received her ARCT in piano and passed on her love of music to her many students. In addition to teaching piano, she worked as a social worker in BC after obtaining her degree. She had a wide range of interests which included first nation affairs, quality CBC radio programming and travel. She will be remembered for her caring nature and artistic abilities which continued throughout her life, later shared with her husband Robert. Funeral services were held in Saskatoon, SK on Wednesday, January 8, 2014.
