Her memory will be cherished by her husband Leonard, son Cecil (Delaine), daughter Lorna (George) Wildeman, daughter-in-law Sandra Creed along with grandchildren Lynne (Rob), Shayla (Chris), Sarah (Tim), Amanda (Alek), Kelby (Kylie), Shannon, Christopher, and great-grandchildren Harley and Arden. She is also survived by her brother Albert (Gladys), and sisters Joyce and Roberta. She was predeceased by her beloved son Ken. Edith was born in 1933 in Swift Current, SK and raised in Dorintosh, SK. She moved to Winnipeg in 1950 where she met Len and was married in 1952. They lived their whole life together in Winnipeg where they raised their three children. When the children were older Edith entered the work force in the food services departments of Kmart, The Bay and Manitoba Health Commission. In 1976 Len and Edith purchased a cottage in Oak Point, MB where they spent the next 25 years whenever they could. When Len retired in 1992, they spent a couple of winters in Arizona. They travelled a lot visiting friends and relatives including a trip to Kansas City for the MSOS games. Edith loved playing cards, was an avid bowler, and enjoyed floor curling. She totally loved her grandchildren, baking for them, knitting afghans for them, and making up picture albums for them. Edith's last three years were spent in Deer Lodge Centre where she received compassionate and loving care. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the exceptional staff on the sixth floor at this facility. Please join us in remembering and celebrating the life of our wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
