IRENE PAULINE FREEMAN (nee ZAWISLAK) Irene was born on June 22, 1935 in Lac du Bonnet, MB and was called Home to be with her Lord in the early morning hours of January 10, 2014 at the age of 78 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Greg of Vernon, BC; five sons, David (Debbie) Schneider, Richard (Maggie) Schneider and Ken (Debbie) Schneider, all of Vernon, BC, Terry (Maria) Schneider and Brian Schneider of Calgary, AB; one daughter, Linda (Nick) Metz of Elkford, BC; two stepdaughters, Brenda (Glen) Kulak and Tina (Tom) Jones of Vernon, BC; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Eddie (Gabriella) Zawislak of Lac du Bonnet, MB; three sisters, Margaret Arseniuk of Winnipeg, MB, Olga Kowal of St. Boniface, MB and Isabel (Leonard) Larsen of Lac du Bonnet, MB; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. Irene was preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Helen Zawislak; one son, Curtis Schneider; one grandson, Michael Metz; one stepdaughter, Debbie Brown, and her former husband, Herb Schneider. Cremation preceded a Celebration of Irene's Life which will be held at Bethel Funeral Chapel on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Lorrie-Ann MacLeod officiating. A Reception will follow in the Bethel Tea Room. At the conclusion of the Reception, Irene will be laid to rest in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Irene to their favourite Christian charity. "Praise The Lord!"
