Date of Passing: Dec 24, 2013
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHARRY ANDERSON LeGRAND July 25, 1917 - December 24, 2013 On Christmas Eve, we lost our dear Father. Dad, we love you. You will always be in our hearts forever. You were a true hero, with many medals from the Second World War. The strongest man we will ever know. Predeceased by wife Aileen of 70 years. He leaves to mourn his family, who he was so proud of, sons Alan (Heather), Harvey (Hyacynth), daughters, Karen (Larry), Linda (Robert), many grandchildren, and five beautiful great-grandchildren, Jordan, Sawyer, Sadie, Lucas and Clara. Cremation has taken place. On Christmas Eve On the window pane outside A new world made of snow A million feathers falling down A million stars that touch the ground. We close our window to the night We leave the sky, our tears of white And all is lit by candlelight amid the falling snow. Dad, we love you. You will be missed Rest in peace, our dear Father. Love your son Alan and wife Heather.

Allan and Heather so sorry to hear about Uncle Harry's passing. What struck me the last time I saw him when he and Aunt Aileen visited Winnipeg was how pleasant and warm he was to me even though I hadn't seen him in years! The obvious love and respect you showed him was also so memorable and endearing. Your dear father will be missed. - Posted by: Paula Keirstead (Niece) on: Jan 20, 2014

Alan, Harvey, Karen & Linda - our deepest sympathy for your loss. I was so pleased to see your parents in Winnipeg with Alan & Heather the year after my Dad had passed - they gave us a link to the family that was so important to them and to me.
