LINDA JEANNE SLOAN (nee LAFORTUNE) 1941 - 2014 We are sad to announce the passing of Linda Sloan on Sunday, January 19, 2014 after a short battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her husband John in 2012, father Marcien in 1982, mother Juliette in 1995 and brother Marcel in 2002. Linda leaves to mourn her brother Pete (Sharon) and family, sister Juliet and family and sister-in-law Lorraine and family, aunty Doris Starink, aunty Anna Dupuis and many nieces, nephews as well as great-nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her cousins and special friends; you all know who you are. Thank you to Celebrant Glen Knutson, to Riverview Palliative Care 3E, including her nurses; Sabrina, Tony, Dawn and Caroline who were so good and caring to Linda as well as the Doctors and staff at Riverview. A celebration of Linda's life will take place on Monday, January 27, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue (across from Brookside Cemetery).
