MARY CHORNEY Peacefully on Friday, January 17, 2014 at Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, Mary passed away at age 93. She was predeceased by her parents, Adam and Annie, her husband Meros, sister Jean, and brothers Alex, Ernest, Tom and Tony. Mary is survived by sisters Rose, Albina, Agnes, brother Nick (Sonya), numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews and nieces, and great-great-nephews and nieces. Mary was born in the RM of Strathclair, Manitoba where she attended school. Later, she moved to Winnipeg, where she was employed by a doctor, later as a grocery clerk and finally at Great West Garment as a shipping supervisor. Mary enjoyed fishing, cottage life, bowling and being a fan of the Blue Bombers. Special thanks to Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg for their excellent care. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 390 Marion Street, with Rev. Father Peter W. Chorney officiating. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Tim, Greg, Matt, and Steven Rogasky, Kris Ostash and Mark Townshend. If friends and family so desire, donations can be made to Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church or to the Canadian Hemophilia Chapter in lieu of flowers. Cropo Funeral Chapel, 204-586-8044
