• Aunty Betty will be sorely missed by all of her Alberta nieces and nephews, I will always remember her voice, to me she had a very unique voice and for her to have lost it over the past few years, was a tragedy. I remember all the fun times at Ed and Betty's when we would visit from Calgary, and the families would get together and have a big bar-b-que, then my Dad and Uncle Ed would be singing and goofing around while mom and Aunty Betty would be sharing crafting secrets, or whatever ladies talked about back in the 60's. I was very fortunate to be able to come back to Winnipeg and visit with Aunty Betty,many times as an adult and got to know more about her and how special she was as a lady not just my aunt. I know how important all of her children and grandchildren were to her, and how proud she was of each and everyone My trips to Winnipeg will not be the same, I am so glad Mom and I could get here last June and have cup of tea and cake with her in the lodge. I know my Mom will miss her, they were close friends as well as sister in-laws, and shared many laughs and tears through 60 some years plus. I love you Aunty Betty, I know you are in a better place than you have been for the past few years.
