GLENN F. ELLIS Peacefully, it is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Glenn Ellis with his family by his side on January 22, 2014 at the age of 82 at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Glenn is survived by his wife Jeannette, children Bruce (Dayle), Todd (Shelly) and Donna; grandchildren Paige (Brian), Steven, Amber, Dayna and Hannah; great-grandchild Drake and brother Wayne (Linda). He is predeceased by his daughter Maureen (Larry) Wye and brother Harvey (Emily). Glenn started his career at Westeel Rosco and ended his career as Plant Manager at Armtec. Glenn was most active and interested in Game and Fish activities, promoting conservation at every opportunity and held various positions with Wildlife Conservation organizations such as President of Manitoba Big Game Trophy Association, an Executive Member of St. Boniface Wildlife Association, as well as Director of the Canadian Wildlife Association. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, water skiing and camping at Big Whiteshell Lake. In his retirement years, the open road called Glenn and Jeannette and they travelled on their motorcycle from coast to coast, as well as spending time out of the winter cold in Arizona with their 5th wheel camper. Later in life, he enjoyed watching the Bombers and Jets with his sons. A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 27, 2014 at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East at Navin Road, Winnipeg, MB. An interment will take place at Green Acres Cemetery.
