Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALICE SOFFIA WHITEWAY 1928 - Riverton, MB 2014 - Calgary, AB It is with great sadness that the family of Alice Whiteway announces her passing on January 24, 2014 at the age of 85 years. Alice and her family moved from Riverton, MB to Calgary in 1973, and shortly thereafter, her husband Ernest passed away suddenly, leaving Alice to raise her children in the large city by herself. However, she never forgot her Manitoba roots, as family and friends were very important to her. As a hardworking and devoted mother, who was proud to have raised six children, she was always putting everyone before herself. Anyone that met her will remember Alice for her generosity, kindness, sense of humour, and love of flower gardening. She will be greatly missed as she touched the hearts of everyone she met. Goda nott elskan min. Alice is survived by her children, Linda (Jack), Sharon (John), Charles (Jacquiline), Ron (Lorrie) and Warren (Lorna); grandchildren, Paula (Jeff), Darmyn, Autumn (Ahmed), Sean (Lindsey), Marc, Aaron, Kris, Lenaisa, and Tamyka; great-grandchildren, Emerson and Hunter; sisters, Mae (Ingi), Donna (Walter), son-in-law, Dave, and sister-in-law, Gertrude. She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest; her daughter, Joy; parents, Oscar and Anna, and brothers, Harold and Arnold.
