VIOLET LUKIE January 13, 1956 - January 26, 2014 It's with great sadness we announce the passing of Violet Lukie. She went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 26, 2014. She is predeceased by her mother Lola Sopow and by her father William Rilkoff, also by her brothers Peter and Jack. Violet leaves to mourn and cherish her memory, her spouse of 20 years, Lyle Boychuck; her two daughters Jacqueline Tokar (Jim) and Trisha Borys; son Bradley Borys; grandchildren Rebecca and Jacob Tokar, Alexander, and Makayla; her Auntie Winnie; brothers Sam Sopow (Julie), John Sopow (Lillian Dawn), Bill Stoochnoff and Larry Rilkoff, and sister Lorraine. Violet was born in Slocan, BC and grew up there as a child. Violet had worked in Winnipeg at the post office as a young women. Later she worked as a payroll clerk for the government at the Woodsworth building. Violet was a generous person who would give her last dollar to those in need. Her love for Jesus was strong, as well as her love for her family and friends. She loved music and dancing and being around people. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31 at 1:00 p.m. at the Transcona Alliance Church, 751 Kildare Ave. E.
