ANGE-AIMEE SIMOENS Paisiblement le 28 janvier, 2014, entourée de sa famille, à l'âge de 78 ans, est décédée Ange-Aimée Simoens (née Durand). Elle laisse dans le deuil son mari de 57 ans, Gérard Simoens, ses enfants Richard (Rita Dandeneau), Sheryl (Rémi Bourgeois) et Tammy (Daniel Vachon), ses petits-enfants Nicholas Simoens (Kelsey), Kathlyne Bolan (Ryan), Daniel Bourgeois (Samantha), Marilyn Bourgeois (Michel), Cédric Bourgeois, David, Nicholas, Alicia, Adrian et Emilie Vachon, ainsi que ses arrières-petits-enfants Patrick et Brielle Bolan. Elle laisse aussi dans le deuil ses frères et soeurs, beaux-frères et belles-soeurs et de nombreux neveux et nièces. Elle est précédée par ses parents Joseph Durand et Alice Arcand, sa belle-mère Marie-Jeanne Jean, et sa fille, son ange, Marie-Alice, décédée à l'enfance en 1963. Mom a été une épouse et une mère remarquable. Toujours disponible pour sa famille, elle a été au coeur de nombreuses occasions de rassemblement de ses enfants et de ses petits-enfants. La fête de Noël revêtait une importance particulière pour elle et comme à chaque année toute la famille se réunissait autour de la table pour un magnifique repas et autour d'un sapin bien garni de cadeaux. C'est quelques heures après la fin des festivités de décembre que Mom a été hospitalisée et a entrepris son cheminement vers sa nouvelle vie. Selon sa volonté, c'est en privé jeudi que la famille s'est recueillie autour d'elle pour dire ses derniers adieux. La célébration des funérailles sera célébrée le samedi 1er février à 10 heures à la Cathédrale de Saint-Boniface, présidée par l'Abbé Marcel Carrière. La famille tient à remercier le personnel de l'urgence et du 5E de l'Hôpital Saint-Boniface pour leurs soins et leur compassion. She leaves to mourn her husband of 57 years, Gérard (Gerry) Simoens, her son Richard (Rita Dandeneau), her daughters Sheryl (Rémi Bourgeois) and Tammy (Daniel Vachon), her grandchildren Nicholas Simoens (Kelsey), Kathlyne Bolan (Ryan), Daniel Bourgeois (Samantha), Marilyn Bourgeois (Michel), Cédric Bourgeois, David, Nicholas, Alicia, Adrian and Emilie Vachon, and her great-grandchildren Patrick and Brielle Bolan. She will also be missed by her brothers and sisters, brothers and sisters-in-law, and numerous nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph Durand and Alice Arcand, her stepmother Marie-Jeanne Jean and her daughter, her angel, Marie-Alice who passed away as an infant in 1963. Mom was a remarkable wife and mother. She was always available for her family and was at the heart of numerous family gatherings. Christmas was a special time for her and each year the entire family would gather around the table for a fabulous meal before crowding around the Christmas tree well-hidden by a mountain of gifts. It was a few hours after the end of this year's festivities that Mom was hospitalized and ultimately began the journey to her new life. According to her wishes, the family gathered around her for a private farewell on Thursday evening. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 1 at 10:00 a.m. at the Saint-Boniface Cathedral, Father Marcel Carrière presiding.
