STANLEY PALMER DOBBIN 1920 - 2013 Stan Dobbin passed away on November 28, 2013 at the age of 93 in Kelowna, BC. Stan was born in Lavenham, MB on August 31, 1920 and was predeceased by his father Carl Milton Dobbin on June 1, 1966; his mother Trixi Palmer May 5, 1980; and sister Ruby Diehl August 16, 1988. Stan married Julie Nanniska of Kenora, ON in 1953. They had two children: Lawrence and Eleanor. Julie passed away on September 28, 1972. Stan re-married Maude Fussey (nee Byron) of Oak Point, MB in 1975. He welcomed her son Brian Fussey and daughters Ryelee Henderson (Dale) and Patricia English (Michael) to his family. Stan was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, taking special pride in the achievements of all his children and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Cory, Riley, Lacy and baby Allie McLean; Marty Henderson (Jennifer) Kyra, Keenan, Charley; Tammy Sukkau (Ray) Ashley, Brandon, Ty; Kirsten English. Stan and Maude moved to Kelowna in 1986 where they lived out the remainder of their lives, truly enjoying the splendor of the Okanagan Valley. Maude passed away at age 83 on October 13, 2012. At Stan's request, there will be no funeral service. A family reunion to celebrate their lives will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
