Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • I met Albert through my Aunt and Uncle during my many visits to Winnipeg. We had some wonderful discussions and I was very touched by his great wisdom and humanity. He had a great influence upon me and I will always treasure knowing him. - Posted by: Thomas Foster (acquaintance/friend) on: Mar 18, 2014

  • Because I haven't had contact for several years I was not aware of how or where Albert Rosen was. He was a wonderful caring man who was of great help when my mother went to into a nursing home and as her lawyer who had helped write up her will originally but wasn't happy at the way it was written came to the nursing home so that she could sign the proper will. He also helped my husband and I in the sale of our first home. He was also very helpful in giving me answers to legal questions whenever he was asked. - Posted by: Betty Borup (Former client and daughter of a former client.) on: Feb 11, 2014

  • Worked with Al for a number of years. He was a great person to be with. - Posted by: James Rose (friend and fellow lawyer) on: Feb 10, 2014

  • Albert Rosen was a truly caring and bright man whose door was open to those issues of "principle" I brought to him many years ago. One of those was a strange problem I had with a car repair that he said put me in a unique position of having found a flaw in the Garage Keeper's Act! With his encouragement I pursued an amendment that would ensure no other would encounter the same situation I did. Four years later Roland Penner made the amendment to that statute which Albert called the "Shore Amendment". What a neat person...I feel quite privileged to have known him. - Posted by: Mary Anne Shore (Friend) on: Feb 08, 2014

  • I was so saddened to see my dear friend Mr. Rosen passed away. I will miss our monthly conversations! We had some great conversations over the years, he always asked how things were with my family. I am so sorry I missed the service and will not be able to share stories with his family. May you rest in peace my friend, I know you are with your beloved wife sharing stories again. Miss you. My thoughts and prayers go to his family. - Posted by: Gayle Nickol (friend/nurse) on: Feb 07, 2014
