PEETER LIIVAMAGI March 7, 1947 - January 30, 2014 Born in Germany and brought up in Winnipeg, Peeter died suddenly in Vancouver. He will be sadly missed by his wife Pauline Mullaney, children Rowan and Tristan Liivamagi, brother Harri (Jocelyne) Liivamagi and their three children Savannah, Roxanne and Kalev, of Winnipeg, cousin Toivo (Ann) Kulpa and their daughters Paula and Diana of Toronto. Predeceased by father Reinhard, mother Hilda and two infant brothers Rein and Mart. A professional engineer, Peeter studied in Manchester, England and at University College, London after graduating from U. of M. and winning the Athlone Fellowship. He returned to Canada to work at the Municipality of Burnaby, first in planning and then in the engineering department. Peeter was well known for his keen sense of humour and unconventional way of looking at life. He was truly an original thinker. His interests were eclectic, ranging from bee-keeping, sailing, skiing, doing renovations, antique collecting, rock collecting and jewellery making. All those family and friends who he touched with his intelligence and caring will miss him terribly. A service honouring Peeter will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2014, 12:30 p.m. at Celebration Hall, Mountain View Cemetery, 5445 Fraser St., Vancouver. Kearney Funeral Services (604) 736-0268
