Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLUCILLE CORBEIL It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Lucille Francoise Corbeil (née Brunet) on February 5, 2014 at the age of 97. Mom was predeceased by her daughter, Madeleine, and her husband, Louis-Philippe. She is survived by her children Rita (Brian), Suzanne (Patrick), Lise (Len), Gabrielle (John), Louis (Jacqueline), George, Michelle (Marc), Marie (Pierre), 16 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Mom leaves behind many dear relatives and her longtime friends, Juliette Hébert and Lucille Bélanger. Lucille was born on January 20, 1917 in Winnipeg, MB. She graduated from Saint Boniface School of Nursing in 1939, and worked in her profession until her marriage to Louis-Philippe Corbeil. While raising her family she continued her career as head nurse in several Winnipeg private nursing homes, as well as a RN at Taché Nursing Home. Our mother was known especially for her love of music which she expressed in choral singing, and for her unique ability in cultivating friendships with persons of all ages which she continued to do until the end of her life. Mom had a special relationship with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Action Marguerite Taché for their compassionate care of our mother and all the wonderful staff at Misericordia Hospital. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Boniface Cathedral on Monday, February 10, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow. Friends and family are invited to come and share fellowship and memories of our mother at Desjardins Funeral Home on Sunday, February 9 at 7:00 p.m. The obituary can also be viewed at www.desjardinsfuneralchapel.ca Desjardins 233-4949 1-888-233-4949 www.desjardinsfuneralchapel.ca

We couldn't have wished for a more wonderful grandmother. She was always interested in our lives and never forgot a birthday or anniversary. Her gentle smile and compassionate heart will be greatly missed. We know that we have gained a guardian angel watching down on us from heaven. We love you and you are always in our hearts. - Posted by: Christine and Chad McClung (Granddaughter) on: Feb 11, 2014

Lucille was a very special person; a genuine lady who had the capacity to win the admiration of all those who had the good fortune to have known her. We are thankful to have had that privilege and will cherish the memories we have of those times. Heartfelt condolences to Gabrielle, John & family. Although we were never close geographically, I always felt close to my dear Tante Lucille. She came to visit our family home many many times in Granby. My father Francois (her brother) had a very close relationship with Lucille throughout his whole life. We enjoyed very much her yearly pilgramiges to Montreal to visit her daughter Gaby and her family. You are sadly missed - Posted by: Pierre F Brunet (nephew) on: Feb 08, 2014
