HARRY RAYBURN It is with profound sadness the family of Harry Rayburn announces his passing on February 8, 2014. Harry was born August 12, 1929 to Rose and Sam Rayburn and lived his whole life in Winnipeg. He enjoyed telling stories about growing up in his beloved North End with his four brothers, Jack, Walter, Hy, and Lew, by whom he is predeceased. Harry met the love of his life, Myrna Cohen, on a blind date and four months later, they embarked on 54 years of blissful marriage, having three children whom he adored. A dedicated employee of London Life for 26 years, Harry was exceptionally kind and generous, often becoming a friend to his many clients. He was a man of honour and integrity, known for his positive outlook, wise words, and robust laughter. Even during his time at the Simkin Centre, Harry made many new friends and left a lasting impression on both residents and staff. This gentle soul will be deeply missed by Myrna and their children, Bruce (Laurinda), Gary, and Lainee (Stephen), his many cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as countless friends. The family would like to thank the staff at the Simkin Centre, and his companions, Terry and Lisa. He was buried at the B'nai Abraham cemetery, officiated by Rabbi Larry Lander and Cantor Tracy Kasner Greaves. Pallbearers were Marvin and Myles Kraut, Adam and David Nemy, Norley and Jeremy Gilman.
