Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONALD FREDRICK RIVEST October 5, 1953 - February 5, 2014 It is with great regret that Don's family announce his passing on February 5, 2014 after a lengthy and courageous health fight. Don was born in New Westminster, BC to Bernard and Margaret Rivest. He grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba, attended Kelvin High, and graduated from Tech Voc as a draftsman. After graduation Don worked for Pioneer Electric in Red Deer Alberta, before joining the staff of Manitoba Hydro, from Taylor Avenue, to Jenpeg, to Gillam, until his retirement in 2005. Don is survived by his wife Nancy (nee Carruthers), son Kyle, daughters Erin and Dena (Dustin) Taraschuk, and his mother Margaret. He is also survived by numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Don was predeceased by his sister Janet and his aunt Shirley Dickinson. If friends so desire, a donation may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
