  • No one could make me laugh like you could. The adventures we had together would take years to recall. Who else but Leona could call me at 10:00 a.m. and have me hop in a single engine aircraft to go for a tour of the countryside and land in Elie for coffee. Baseball, high school hockey, curling, golfing, weekends in Grand Forks, or just having a cool one together, these are times I will never forget and memories that bring both smiles and tears. You are free my friend, see you one day! - Posted by: Megan Poitras (You were my amazing friend for 60 years.) on: Feb 14, 2014

  • I remember many "after social" parties at the McCaughan home in St. Francois. Leona was always there to greet everyone and treat them like they were all family!! She always had amazing food and wanted to make sure that everyone had a little something in their bellies before they drove home!! Sometimes the sun was actually coming up! Leona, we will miss your infectious smile and your kind heart! Your children were truly blessed to have a Mother like you! Lisa Dumas - Posted by: Lisa Dumas (Family Friend) on: Feb 14, 2014
