JOAN MARIE ZIDLE Peacefully on Sunday morning, February 9, 2014 at Kelowna General Hospital with her loving husband of 41 years, Seymour, by her side, Mom passed away at the age of 82. She will be sadly missed by her son Ken Fowler of Lillooet, BC, daughter Lynn Fowler, sons Dave Fowler and Mark Fowler, and grandchildren Kevin and Meaghan Fowler, of Winnipeg, MB, stepdaughters Andrea (Dwayne) Nittel of Kelowna, BC and Audrey (Jim) Goodwin of Vancouver, BC, grandchildren James (Tessa) Lai of Redmond City, CA and Dana Lai of Vancouver, BC, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is survived by her sisters-in-law Sandy Burke of Amherst, NS, and Sheina Zidel and Carole Zidle of Montreal, QC. Mom was predeceased by her parents, Leo and Effie Burke, her brother Harold and her nephew Hal Burke, of Amherst, NS, as well as her brothers-in-law Carl Zidel and Buddy Zidle, and her great-niece Julia Zidel, of Montreal, QC. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation, 2268 Pandosy Street, Kelowna, BC, V1Y 9R5. There will be a Celebration of Life for Mom on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC.
