So sorry to hear of George's passing. I worked for both George and his brother Carl during my impressionable days on the DEWline. They both had a great sense of humour and a unique management style which brought out the best of their staff. I will miss you George and very much enjoyed the many conversations and laughs we shared. - Posted by: Paul Phillips (Former Coworker) on: May 29, 2014

George will be missed. His offbeat humor and stories, George always listened to me when I complained about things. Made me laugh in his advice and taught me not to get myself so tied up in anger. I am going to miss my friend George. - Posted by: barb gervais (friend) on: Mar 05, 2014

My condolences to the family. George was my dear friend. We spent a lot of time together, especially in the summer. I miss him already. He was a good friend to me and my family, my grandchildren adored him. Rest in peace my friend. - Posted by: Marlene Raymond (Best Friend) on: Feb 16, 2014

It's with great sadness that I have to say goodbye to a Great Uncle! A wonderful man whom I share many fond memories of. Teaching me to make spicy spaghetti sauce and whose door was always open for me. Your off the cuff comments to whatever my dilemma at the time was and a good game of crib to prove you were still the champion. Silk screened underwear with Copper and Barlow to being called my famously known nickname given by you. You will forever be missed. RIP - Posted by: Alanna Van Buren (Niece) on: Feb 16, 2014

We came to know and love George after he moved to Powerview. Our visits had been less frequent lately due to family demands, but we will miss having the Mad Hermit in our lives. Our granddaughter Trinity will particularly miss her "Grampa George". Rest in peace George. You have earned it. - Posted by: The Kleyh family (Friends) on: Feb 16, 2014

One of George's greatest pleasures was greeting the children who came at Halloween. He particularly enjoyed talking to them, complimenting them on their costumes and was very generous in his gift of chocolate bars to all ! - Posted by: Hugh Van Buren (Brother) on: Feb 16, 2014
