MARCEL EMILE JOHNSON November 17, 1919 - February 14, 2014 At the tender age of 94, Marcel peacefully died with his wife, Anne, of 67 years by his side. He lives now in heaven with his loving God, his parents, his three brothers and his beautiful granddaughter Colleen. Left to mourn and miss his gentle presence are his son John (Barb) grandchildren, Daniel (Daniella), Meghan (Nick) and great-grandson Elliot, daughter Carole (Dennis) and grandson Garry, and close friends Yvonne and Ned Derkach. Dad was one of the founding members of Christ the King Parish and loved his Church, especially Fr. Renato Pasinato, who had a very special place in Dad's heart. Dad was a Military Policeman in the Second World War and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion at the Belgian Club for 60 years. Dad was a humble gentleman, faithful and loving husband, with a huge heart that extended immense love and kindness to his children, and to all those he met. Thank you to the staff at Actionmarguerite and Chez Nous for their attentive care and compassion. Vigil will be held Wednesday, February 19 at 7:00 p.m., and Funeral Mass on Thursday, February 20 at 10:00 a.m., both at Christ the King Parish, 847 St. Mary's Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ the King Parish Memorial Fund.
