STANLEY GAIDA 1921 - 2014 On February 7, Stanley Gaida passed away peacefully with his family by his side. Stanley was born at his family farm home in Sylvan, MB. Predeceased by his wife Elsie, brothers Walter, Joe, John, and sister Albina (Baryski). He will be sadly missed by his three children Grace Kachurowski (Ron), Sylvia Turcan (Terry), and Roger Gaida (Josie). Dad adored his grandchildren Cheryl (Sheldon), Todd (Rhonda), Kurt (Michelle), and Trina. He was very proud of his great grandchildren, Matthew (Melanie), Katelyn, Kai, Mace, and Dane. Raised on the family farm, Dad moved to Winnipeg where he met and married the love of his life Elsie. Settled into his home in 1951 and lived there until he passed away. This gentle and kind hearted man was always there to give a helping hand. Dad was a mechanic, carpenter, barber, musician (accordion), -- jack of all trades. He was a Carmen at CPR for 31 years where he developed many skills. After retirement, Garden City Shopping Centre became his second home with his many friends. Dad was a man of few words but loved to listen. The Happy Gang band gave him a lot of pleasure by playing at senior centers. Hunting with his kids and grandkids was one of his many joys. He was a very generous and loving dad, grandfather and great-grandfather. The family would like to thank the support people who attended to him at his home. We all love you Grampsie and thank you for giving us love, faith, and hope. We were all very lucky to have you in our lives. A service will be held at a later date and officiated by Eternal Grace.
