Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONALD JOHN WILKINSON With great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Don, on February 14, 2014. Predeceased by his parents, John and Anna and his beloved son Scott, Don will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 61 years, Margaret, his children Leslie, Garry (Margaret) and Linda (Tom), daughter-in-law Donna, and grandchildren Laura (Kyle), Dana (Justin), and Carson. Don was born on February 24, 1927. Life's most important things to Don were his family, his sports, especially hockey, and travel but his favourite place in the world was Brereton Lake. A memorial service for Don will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 21, 2014 at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd, Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or CancerCare Manitoba. Don aka Ichabod because of his height was a very effective defense hockey player. He loved and breathed the game for many years travelling across Canada and Europe with the Manitoba Hockey Players Association team under the name on the Manitoba Jet Oldtimers with the likes of the late Bill Mosienko, Bill Juzda, Ed Mazur, Gerry Kruk, Nick Mickoski, Ted Green, John Ferguson, Bob Leiter, Don Raleigh, Fran Huck and many more RIP - Posted by: friend and player (friend and player) on: Feb 18, 2014
