JOHN (JACK) STEPHEN Peacefully, with family at his side, Jack Stephen of Elie, MB, passed away at Lions Prairie Manor in Portage la Prairie, MB. On February 17, 2014, at the age of 89 years. Funeral services will be held in the Knox United Church, Oakville, MB, on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. with Minister Shirley McLaren officiating. Interment to take place at Oakville Cemetery with lunch to follow at Silver Threads Senior's Centre in Oakville. Jack was born in Brandon, MB on July 15, 1924. Second eldest child of John and Mary Stephen. Predeceased by his parents, his sisters Elizabeth, Bessy, Ann and Helen and his wife, Inez (Dunbar) Stephen. He is survived by his daughter Shelley (Philip) Lachance and their children Jenna (Chad) Smith, Jade (Blake) Tarr, Stephen and Amber (Brad) Hoogenberg; son Robert (Tracey) and their children Gavin and Hailey. He also leaves to mourn his sisters-in-law Ora Dunbar and Michele Dunbar and many other extended family. Should friends so desire, a memorial donation may be made to the trust fund of William Marquardt in care of any branch of the Portage Credit Union.
