ELSIE ANNE SEABY Elsie Anne Seaby aged 95 years, beloved wife of the late Art Seaby, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 17, 2014 at the Goodwin Lodge in Teulon, MB. Elsie was born on October 27, 1918 in Lemberg, Saskatchewan to Jacob and Emilia Schneider who were German farmers that immigrated to Canada by desire. Her dad died when she was five days old from the 1918 flu. Her mother later remarried. She grew up on the farm at Lemberg. She married Art Seaby on January 28, 1944. They lived at Flin Flon, MB, Gimili, MB and in 1970 moved to Selkirk, MB. In 2009 she became a resident of Goodwin Lodge at Teulon, MB where she resided until her passing. Elsie enjoyed knitting and reading. She was extremely meticulous and kept a spotless home. Elsie was very witty, frugal and polite, and had a very good sense of humour. She worked at the telephone company in Saskatchewan and later volunteered at House of Economy in Selkirk for many years. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 26 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. The family will be gathering for the interment this summer at High Bluff Lutheran Cemetery at Lemberg, SK. Predeceased by her beloved husband Art in 1992 and her brother Elmer in 2008. Survived by two brothers Wilfred (Jessie) of Toronto and Arnold of Calgary, sister-in-law Marion Schneider of Regina, special friends Dr. and Mrs. Dave Oakley, her godson David Oakley (Lesley) and families who all became like family in the absence of her own who lived so far away, and by several nieces and nephews.
