The funeral will be held Sunday, February 23, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Shaarey Zedek Synagogue, 561 Wellington Crescent, Winnipeg, Manitoba. A longer obituary will follow.

I am saddened to hear of Ruth's passing. I live in Las Vegas but a friend notified me of the passing. My sincere condolences to the family. Ruth was very kind to me and I will always appreciate her kindness when my dad (and her uncle) Al Levin died and she and her late husband Mitch let me stay with them when I traveled to Wpg. for the funeral. You lived a long, full and remarkable life, with many turns. After the initial sorrow of your first husband, your legacy will be remembered through your two exceptional children, Karen and Mindy, who have gone on to many accomplishments, and a great dedication to community.
