LORETTA GEORGIA (NECKOWAY) BALLANTYNE It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, daughter, sister, auntie, cousin and friend on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at the Health Sciences Centre. Loretta was predeceased by her sisters Amanda, Lillian and Leona. Loretta leaves to mourn her children Danny, Cheyanne, John Donald, Angel and Devin (Dwayne Kasper), two grandchildren Aubrey "Chunks" and Ava, mother Rubina, father Peter Neckoway, stepdad Wayne Palidwor, brother Darrell (Cheryl) among many aunties, uncles, great-aunties, great-uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Loretta was a loving and devoted mother that loved her music and poetry. She lived life to the fullest, had a keen sense of humour and always had a smile on her face. She will be missed by all. Wake service will be held Monday, February 24 from 7:00 11:00 p.m. at Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Avenue at Parr Street. Followed by a two day wake service in Grand Rapids First Nation. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. James Anglican Church officiated by Rev Steve Martin with interment to follow.
