October 9, 1931 - February 14, 2014 Peacefully after a brief battle with cancer, Catherine Jane Niemczyk passed away at the Glace Bay Healthcare Facility, NS at the age of 82. Jane is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Forward, Manitoba, Eileen (Mark) Domko, and one son Paul of Winnipeg, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews. She will always be remembered by her long dangly earrings. Interment has taken place at St. Anne's Cemetery in Glace Bay, NS. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. On line condolences can be expressed at www.vjmcgillivray.ca

Would like to pass on much heartfelt sympathy for the family. I met the family when they lived on Jamieson Ave. in Wpg. I believe the address was 270. Mrs. Niemczyk was a nurse and a single parent at the time. She worked at Central Park Lodge. I lost touch with the family after they moved away. They had a puppy called Tex.
