Mr. Hussey was a great guy. Glenn and Norma welcomed me into their home like a son. He was a great guy to joke around with, and was always there if you need help with anything. He was a craftsman, a great dad and a good friend. Glenn say hi to Mrs.Hussey and my dad when you're up there. You will be missed. My condolences to my friends Mark and his family, Scott and his family and Rod and his family John Trunzo - Posted by: John Trunzo (Friend) on: Mar 05, 2014

Jan (Penny) called to tell me Glen had passed on. Our families only saw one another a few times a year, but I remember him as a funny and hard working guy who also knew how to enjoy himself. His devotion to Normie during the difficult years was sweet. Thinking of you all these days and sending a comforting hug. - Posted by: Shirley Burton & Darrell Froom (Niece) on: Mar 04, 2014

Glen was a wonderful man. He was bright, talented and funny. My Mum and I had the good fortune to spend a day with him and his daughter-in-law, Sharron, in Gimli, a while back. We had a lot of fun and he had some great stories to tell. He will be greatly missed. - Posted by: Heather (Friend) on: Mar 04, 2014

I don't know how many of you remember Glen Hussey as I do. I worked with him for years out of the Gateway WC with Bill Smith as our foreman. My most memorable memory is that we wired the Kildonan Place Mall, including Sears at one end and The Bay at the other end and all the stores in between. We ran MTS out of 6 pair wire (reel by reel) and then switched to double 3 pair wire for each little store in the concourse. My idea was that they would expand in the future for more lines. (fax lines?) We worked several months to 10:00 PM to get the job completed on time. Unfortunately this was NOT in the winter. During this time we were given temporarily some useless helpers. Actually I was in charge of the job and Glen (20 years my senior) was my helper! He was very helpful to me 'cause I was still a bit of a rookie on such a large job. I remember watching Glen walking out of KP to his car at 10:00 PM and waiting that he made it to his car without falling down and having a heart attack. He was already getting older. He got me hooked on woodworking and building stuff, especially out of knotty pine... like a waterbed. He had a wood lathe and turned the 4 corner posts for my first queen sized waterbed. We had many discussions about building furniture and the finishing touches to it. He did mention his wife and that she was not well. I'll never forget him. Lifetime memories. - Posted by: Cornie Thiessen (co-worker at MTS) on: Mar 03, 2014
