Date of Passing: Feb 26, 2014
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCORITON (CORI) ALLEN With great sadness we say goodbye to Coriton (Cori) Allen, amazing husband, father and grandfather. Cori passed suddenly on February 26, 2014 at the age of 85 years. He leaves behind his wife of 54 years Margaret, son Rennie (Sandra), daughters Leitta (Wade) and Nikki, along with his grandchildren Katrina, Mitchell and Neil. Cori will be remembered by all who have known him as an incredible person, a man of amazing patience and knowledge, and for his humour, though his quick wit and sarcasm was lost on many. Cori has left his wife, children and grandchildren with a lifetime of amazing memories they have shared with him through travels, camping, fishing and his unending love and dedication to them. Rest well dad, until we meet again. A private ceremony for family has been held.

A kind, gentle, intelligent gentleman that I looked up to like a father and mentor and, of course, my friend. I owe a lot to the impact he made on me. It seems every encounter was special in some way. My world was more wondrous and larger each time. My fondest memories are when I was a child and he let me watch him work in his shop on delicate machines and clocks. Cori, I was already missing you because the time grew so much between visits. Thank you for being in my life. My thanks, also, for bringing me your whole family of lifelong friendships. My sincerest condolences to your wonderful family. I had so many special times with my Dad that I will always cherish, but my favourites will always be the times it was just him and I; fishing, playing chess, building/fixing things and talking. He was my Hero, and such a unique and special person, no other like him! Though he was a man of few words, I never questioned his unending love for me, as it was always felt in all that he did. I am the luckiest girl to have had you as my Dad!! Thank you and I love and miss you so much. - Posted by: Leitta (Daughter) on: Mar 01, 2014

The day I left for my first day of university, I was talking to my grandfather and he told me "You're my favourite granddaughter." I was very excited for a couple minutes, until I realized that I was his only granddaughter. I know this was his way of telling me he loved me and was proud of me. My grampy's humour was one of my favourite things about him. - Posted by: Katrina Beaudin (Granddaughter ) on: Mar 01, 2014
