Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGORDON HASTINGS PENNOCK Gordon passed away peacefully on February 26, 2014 at the Deer Lodge Hospital at the age of 96 years. He was predeceased by his dad James Pennock in 1969, his mother Louise Pennock in 1974 and sister Isabelle in 1997. He was also predeceased by his wife Helen in 1985. Gordon was born in Griswold,, Manitoba on July 28, 1917. He grew up and received his education in Boissevain. Gordon enlisted in the army in 1940, and served overseas returning to be discharged in 1946. Gordon moved to Brandon in 1946,, and continued working for the army in Shilo for 25 years. Gordon was proud of his 45 year Legion pin and the fact that he received a certificate from the Red Cross for the 72 blood donations. Gordon enjoyed reading, walking and was an avid horse racing fan. As per Gordon's wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service.
