CHARLES BRYANT HODGE
Born: Jul 13, 1923
Date of Passing: Feb 28, 2014
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHARLES BRYANT HODGE July 13, 1923 - February 28, 2014 Bry Hodge, as he was commonly known, passed away suddenly at the age of 90. He was predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Hannah Hodge, siblings: David and Flo, and daughter Candice Moizer. Bry will be lovingly remembered by Agnes, his loving wife of 65 years, they were married on November 13, 1948 in Winnipeg; his children: Norman (Robyn), Garth (Leana), Lori (Karen), and Lorne (Andy), he will also be very sadly and fondly missed by his grandchildren, Kerry-Ann, Shawna, Cory, Kelsey, Justin and Cheylynn, and by his brother Ken. The great-grandchildren, like the grandchildren, always held a special place in Dad's heart as he always loved seeing the kids. Dad was a people person and wouldn't be recognized if he weren't wearing his ball cap and teasing someone. He loved his family, was an avid sports enthusiast, took real pride in his work, especially his job at Government Air Division where he spent 35 years serving them well. He had many, many interests and talents, including carpentry, gardening, and world news. A sucker for animals, he had a special bond with the family dog Midge and more recently, Kimber. Dad was amazing at anything and everything he did and a real perfectionist at heart. It is hard to imagine that there is a world without Dad in it. A funeral service will be held at St. Peter's Anglican Church, 755 Elm Street on Saturday, March 8, 2014 with Rev. Donna Joy officiating. Viewing will commence at 1:30 p.m. with the service to follow at 2:00 p.m. followed by a reception. Private family interment will be held. Funeral arrangements entrusted to: EJ Coutu & Co. I'm very sorry about Uncle Bry's passing. He was always such a kind man, and so fun for us kids to be around. Always telling funny stories and telling silly jokes. He will be missed by many. - Posted by: Catherine Mannall () on: Mar 07, 2014

To Agnes and family, our sincerest condolences. Bry will be remembered as a fine and honorable man. Tim has many fond memories of Bry when he worked guarding and fixing things for the police in Lac du Bonnet. His sense of humour always brightened a dreary day and it was a pleasure to have known him. - Posted by: Tim & Joan Connell (Friend) on: Mar 06, 2014

I'm very sorry to hear of Bry's passing he was a great man. I wish to pass on my thoughts and prayers to the entire family. I remember spending time in Lac du Bonnet with our family and your family and it was always a great time making great memories. I was thinking of Bry lately and wondering how he and Agnes were doing. I wish there was something I could do, but please take solace in the fact he was a great man, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Our family was lucky to have known him and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. David Bates - Posted by: David Bates (Family Friend) on: Mar 06, 2014
