RUSSELL LAWTON JAMES After a brief illness, Russ James passed away at the Grace Hospital surrounded by loving family at the age of 77 years. Russ was predeceased by his loving wife Pat James, his father John James, and his mother Jessie James. Russ' memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife Martha, whom he married on October 11, 2002; his children, Russell, Bill and Tanya (Ken); his stepchildren Andrew, Susan, Paul (Karen), and Dennis (Tiffany); his grandchildren, Keith (Alison), Russell (Dara-Lynn), Alison, and Rohnan; his step-grandchildren, Crystal, Jessica, Melissa, Elyshia, Emanuel, Melody, Vanessa, Vincent; and Marty's great-grandchildren, Tatayna, Imogen, Pheonex, Biannca, Emily and Abigail. Russ' family and friends will cherish his memory forever. Russ was a loving husband and father with strong family values. He spent many evenings with family and friends at the card table over the years, including his beloved "Rummoli Night" every Saturday for the past several years. Russ was a father-figure to many extended family members, including his nephew Bob, son-in-law Ken, and stepson Paul who are all thankful for his unconditional love, support, and guidance. Russ touched the lives of so many people, and will be greatly missed and never forgotten. Russ followed an incredibly diverse career path. He took on every position and industry with passion, truly enjoying each of his many endeavors. Everyone loved his many stories and he captivated his audience with each one he told, no matter how many times he told it. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, with reception to follow. Russ was a big supporter of the Siloam Mission. He always said that if he ever won the lottery, he would give a good portion of his winnings to them, so in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Siloam Mission, 300 Princess St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 1M3. Marty and Joey, I am so sorry to hear of Russ' passing. Razzle and I enjoyed our living room chats about Weston Shops and current events. Marty, I know that Russ was your soul mate and your heart is broken. You are a strong and amazing woman.
