INGE GEBHARDT 1932 - 2014 It is with deep regret that we announce the sudden passing of Inge Gebhardt on Friday, February 28, 2014 in Winnipeg at the vibrant age of 81 (39 + tax!). She will be lovingly remembered by her sons George and Werner (Brandi); daughter Eva (Duane); grandchildren A.J., Brooke, Cole and Madison. Inge has been reunited with her husband Leslie, the love of her life. After moving from Germany in 1974, Inge started working at Dutchies in Unicity in 1978 and soon became store manager. In 1981, she started to work for Laura Secord in Unicity and in a very short time took over the Polo Park location. She made it one of the most successful stores in the company, until her retirement in 1997. In compliance with mom's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held but a private family gathering has taken place. "Life goes by way too fast and in a single moment you can lose someone so precious that you feel the world has stopped, and you know that life will never be the same. Not only did we lose a mom, grandma, sister, aunt, mentor, and confidante, but more importantly, our best friend. You've touched so many, and we are all better because of you. We will never forget you. Know that you are always and forever thought of and loved. Having you in our hearts means that you are always there, and that helps the hurting. With aching hearts and many tears, we will never truly say goodbye." We love you Mom, G-ma, Grandma Winnipeg xoxo.
