Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOREEN BINGHAM (nee HAYES) It is with great sadness that we announce Doreen (nee Hayes) Bingham passed away Saturday March 1, 2014 at St. Norbert Personal Care Home just before her 92nd birthday. Doreen was born April 27, 1922 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She was predeceased by her husband Jack in 2002. Doreen leaves to grieve sons, Michael (Pasha), Mark (Lou), Paul (Pam) and daughter Sylvia (Rick Smith). She also leaves her grandchildren Britany (Brad and daughter Keegan), Christopher, Matthew (daughter Chloƫ), Shawn, Amber (Chris), Paxton, Paige, Warren and Rachel. For Mom music was her passion from singing in the choir to teaching voice and piano, performing on stage, radio and television. Doreen achieved a major goal when she received her degree in music with the Royal Conservatory of Music. Mom was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and loyal friend. Countless hours were spent attending numerous sporting events, dance recitals, riding lessons and various other activities involving her family. A celebration of her life will take place at a later date. The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Norbert Personal Care Home for the exceptional care provided over the past three years. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be directed to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.

There are many piano teachers who ruin the joy of music for their students, students who sadly quit their lessons. Mrs Bingham made sure that I always loved being a student of music, even through the grind of learning the fundamentals. She has been and will continue to be a part of every performance. Deepest sympathies to the family. - Posted by: Brad Ross (Piano student) on: Mar 23, 2014

My deepest sympathies to the Bingham families. I was very sorry to hear of Doreens passing. She was a very dear friend. We shared many precious moments of laughter and many tears together as well. There wasn't anything she wouldn't do for you. She was a kind and caring person. She would often come over and play a new song on the piano for me to hear many times. I still hear her wonderful voice. We shared many times talking about her love of and career in music. She was like a second mother to me. The memories of Doreen will always remain in my heart. She was an exceptional person . I will miss her. I know that she will be looking down and still taking care of her loved ones. I am truly sorry for your great loss. She will be missed by everyone she has met throughout her life. - Posted by: Arla Chaytor and Family (Close friend and neigbor) on: Mar 14, 2014
